How to fight doomscrolling habits with RSS?
I know many HN users love RSS, but I never used it. However, I'm annoyed by myself for doomscrolling too much (mosly those fucked up YouTube Shorts and News Landing Pages) and thought that I want to limit the content I consume to self-selected stuff. Does anyone have good resources for an absolute RSS noob where to start? How did you start? are there different approaches to RSS? what is good RSS software?
If you want to try filtering your RSS feeds based on topics you’re interested in, you should give Scour (https://scour.ing) a try. I was never a huge RSS user because I ended up with too much of the infinite unread email feeling. I built Scour to help find the signal among the noise.
