Lost a lot of digital photos? How did you deal with it, emotionally?

I recently had an old business partner delete a Google Workspace account without asking where I was saving years of photos. No backups, and didn’t catch it in the 30 days grace period. I lost a lot. Years of memories. Feel distraught. And pretty angry. Have you ever lost photos?
