Jews in Computer Science


I find fascinating the contributions to computer science by jewish computer scientists [0]. They really pioneered the field, especially cryptography, where they seem to dominate.

Is this a cultural thing? I'm not aware of any other field where a group of people has contributed as much as jews in CS.

Not just American Jews but Israelis too. I assume it's cultural, like graphy theory in Hungary, probability in Russia
