Who Does Woke Cater To?

You've probably all seen several iterations of wokeness in the past few years. Today every Star Trek, every science fiction shows this narrative. The worst example being Murderbot, but I think in the case of Murderbot they exaggerated it so much I am not sure it's actually a mockery of wokeness: Like a black woman being the leader. A gay Spock. A woman who is the pervert. They really go totally overboard with it and at least in the German translation they always use the pronouns. So it's so stupid. But at the same time I just wonder, let's say it's not mockery what Murderbot does, I wonder what they are aiming at, what is really their goal. I mean there's not so many people who feel underrepresented or even care about it or who can identify with that then. There's a reason why those groups are called minorities, because they are. Why don't they cater to the majority and make movies for them, with them? Financially it basically makes no sense to choose those that have the smallest amount of representatives in the population.
