And if so, would you consider giving your dog a brain implant to facilitate communication?

Please don't. That's vivisection and inappropriate. If you love dogs, you can communicate with them just fine using the same methods we've had for 100,000 years.
I can communicate with a dog without any implant, just like most people. Even if I couldn't, though, I certainly wouldn't give a dog a brain implant to enable it. I'd consider that cruel.
