I don't want my idea, what can I sell?

I've got a system that I was gearing up to run as a company myself:

* An online management system.

* Over 1000 EOI from potential customers and business services that want to use the system. (Leads for new customers)

* Policy, procedures, terms and conditions, etc. other documents.

* 3 "friends and family" accounts that are being managed by the system, as a trial while I was building it.

Nothing is "on the books" yet, but there's potential for a fairly interesting business here.

All in all, it's getting to a point where I was about ready to switch it on and run it as my own business. But I'm realizing that I don't want to do it myself: I like tinkering and building and I still respect my employer. I also want to focus on my home and the kids.

I have the makings of a business, but haven't executed it yet and kinda don't want to.

Is this enough of something that I can sell? Is there a particular place I can sell it, or do I talk to a business broker? Has anyone been in similar situations?

Your only chance is to sell it to someone in the same space (ie: a competitor). Currently, you have nothing and your only customers are "friends and family". The EOI are worthless without due-diligence from the buyer and negotiating that will be difficult.

Your second option is to kick-start your business and get a "few" customers. That will make your business worth something.
