How do I have more fun building?

I recently left my job and I thought I would have more fun building projects. The problem is that I have had a really hard time engaging in my personal projects the way I used to. I love working on the cutting edge and I&rsquo;ve really enjoyed doing Andrej Karpathy&rsquo;s zero to hero course, but have had a hard time doing much beyond it. I used to enjoy arduino projects and the community around those, but even there it seems like fewer people are really having fun.Greatly appreciate the stoke from everyone here. Hoping for some guidance.

If you want to finish something, start by thinking about, designing, and testing the end-user experience.

Examples:

  * documentation first
  * low fidelity mockups 
  * think of the problems it will solve
  * how will life improve by using the result of your efforts?

That way, you're more focused on the "what" than the "how" - as we often get discouraged when the "how" changes because we haven't realized the "what" we're building (or why we're building it).

If you don't know where you're going, you're already there before you begin.
