New Zealand: the plan would be to politely inform the immigration service that my wife and I both have roles on the Green List, and request that they supply us with a residence visa. Both of our employers are fine with 100%-remote work, so we'd probably just keep the jobs we have today.

Sadly, I haven't travelled enough to know where I'd really like to be. Oh sure, I've done research, but I've travelled enough to know that what looks good on paper isn't always as good in reality.

Having said all that, the country that keeps popping up as the best for me is the Netherlands. Thing is, I've never been there. So maybe I'd hate it? The first part of the plan would be to visit, not as a tourist, but really living a day in the life as much as possible.

At this point in my life and how close I am to retirement; I'd probably just wait until I retired before emigrating. It makes it a lot easier than needing to get a job.

If you think ww3 might come (seems reasonably likely, esp starting with Korea), most of the action will be in the Northern Hemi. So maybe Uruguay.

Where to (in order): Germany, Netherlands, Denmark

The Plan: Get a job in tech, working with technologies I have and can show experience in, ie. Go, Vue, Rust

(Though I have been an expat for about a decade now, with multiple countries under my belt, there has been a bug in me since a few months to jump at least one more country before I die)

Where to: US.

Plan: change the constitution, and run for the president. (Plan B: get the job that's the second easiest to get after Plan A)

If I absolutely had to it would be Svalbard. [1] The plan would be to comment on HN just like I do now.
