What is a good Jetpack Search alternative for WordPress websites?

Question

Dear HN, Automattic is holding us hostage with their Jetpack Search product. We are a relatively big website, with 6k records and 200k search retrievals per month.We are also a Jetpack Search and Jetpack Complete customers. Jetpack Complete should include 100k searches a month, but Automattic is not honouring that, and are charging us 220 USD a month for Search alone (as if we don't have Jetpack Complete).They have also tripled our bill with no reason from March to April 2024. For some reason, in February and March 2024, Automattic charged us 75 USD for "Renewal for 46092 items" and then in April 2024 you jacked the price and item count 3x to charge us 225 USD for "Renewal for 142715 items".We have not produced that much content on our website, nor can we find that number anywhere in our Jetpack Search dashboard.This is becoming a gross nightmare, and we want to transition to something else.Does any kind soul here have an advice on what search product works well with Wordpress?Jetpack Complete: https://jetpack.com/complete/Jetpack Search pricing: https://jetpack.com/support/search/jetpack-search-product-billing/P.S. Or if you don’t need so many records we had good success with SearchWP up to about 90k records with a few thousand taxonomy tags.

I work at Automattic, but not on Jetpack Search. I can see internally that you've already written to our support staff, and they in turn have our JPS engineers looking into this. We should have an answer for you soon.
