New Here – How Can I Share My SaaS on Hacker News to Get Feedback?


I’m new to Hacker News and recently discovered it as a great platform to connect with developers. I’m working on a SaaS product aimed at developers and would love to share it here to get first users feedback.

What’s the best way to post about it while ensuring it’s helpful and engaging for the community? I want to avoid coming across as overly self-promotional and instead focus on getting meaningful insights.

There are specific HN guidelines for Show HN postings (https://news.ycombinator.com/showhn.html) and linked there is additional helpful advice from the HN moderators (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22336638). The guidelines ask "Please make it easy for users to try your thing out, ideally without barriers such as signups or emails. You'll get more feedback that way." so your submission may not qualify.
