Could we make a list of lesser known good-for-society projects?n

Found this https://www.privacyguides.org/ in the who is hiring thread. Made me wonder how many such small, lesser known projects there are, doing great work for the good of society?

Can we make a list of such projects? They don't need to be digital, just any project that is not well known and could use publicity
