How to Learn to Live, from 27yo

Consider the scenario that a teen mother finally has enough and moves to a new city at the age of 27.

She's got 3 kids (oldest being 11) and financial support. But no license, didn't finish school, no experience, no hobbies, goals or aspirations except to start afresh and live anew.

What is her next move and how does she end up supporting herself and her kids? What are some daily life details that everyone takes for granted but is a game changer for people who don't know about them?

From me:

* Journal, every day you can. Just write out thoughts.

* Get the licence as it makes it easier to get around.

* Whiteboard in the house good for notes and TODOS

* Education is important. Keep the kids in schooling, and make sure everyone (including yourself) knows how to read, write, and do fractional / decimal maths

I would say the ability to have a chance to be there and try to support them is the biggest overlooked aspect of life there is i also have children one son 13 and a baby boy on the way being incarcerated again and not just being able to be there is the biggest thing i would give anything and i know my sons would to just to have the chance to be there for them so for me i try to jsut keep communication lines open as best asi can and send what money i can to him its not the same but im obligated to do what i can when i can stay possitive as for "her" focus on herself and the children exclusively no one else matters times get lonely but one she has a hood foundation the right partner will come around

I would add:

- find something you can be passionate about. Something which challenges you. It must not bring you fun but satisfaction. I know this can be hard finding such „something“. In the end you have to try a lot of difference thing. But even just trying out different things gives you experience. This is something you could also do together with your kids.

- something you kind of already did: share your experience! You could share your journal, be it a blog or a video log. This might bring support/help from other who experience the same situation.
