Why am I not able to comment on my own post?
so I posted this https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=41647608 and I wanted to leave a comment providing more context, but immediately after I posted the 'discuss' button disappeared. What gives?
It does seem like a lot of worthwhile submissions are DOA without any positive or negative commentary.
In a different way than it used to be a few years ago, and far more often.
That post is marked as dead. Users with high enough reputation can flag new posts, which essentially marks them as spam and limits their access.
I had the same situation, maybe gods are angry at us due to some reason.
