HACKER Q&A

Which of these product ideas would you bet on?

I'm seeking advice from founders and other HN users. Which of these do you think it'd be easiest to get 30 engaged beta users for? Which would you bet on?

Let's say that an engaged beta user is one who'll pay me $1 a month plus would chat with me for 10 mins a day as I build it. I'm purely building for the love of the game at this point :) (No fundraising needed). Success to me is one where I can spend lots of time building a product for appreciative users who are happy to give me ~unlimited feedback as I build.

In person retreat. Disclaimer: I went to Microconf several times. Rob, the organizer says, they have 70% cost, so for a $1000 USD ticket they need to invest $700 for venue, food, getting speakers there. It's not something one can start without a budget. That said small events without hotel nights and all-inclusive food might be possible. Maybe https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=41539125 is a start.
