Web page instead of pitch deck?

I'm curious to hear if anyone has decided to build a nice looking web page instead of a pitch deck for their startup?

I'm looking to raise my first round and the traditional PowerPoint pitch deck seems so outdated and boring. I'd love to create a nice, landing-page like web page to send to investors, but not sure if it's a good use of time if they're all going to end up asking for a PowerPoint anyway.
