Are software companies skeptical of most bug reports?

Are users filing lots of fake bug reports?

Or maybe most bug reports don't contain enough information to be useful?

I never have enough QA's to run everything down, and most of them are bled to the point I have a revolving door going on because fuckers don't understand the concept of morale, and the fact it can't be conjured out of thin air and maintained against absurd levels asymmetry in resource expenditure.

Everywhere I've worked, we've taken bug reports seriously. Most of them are useless or mistaken, but we have to examine the report deeply enough to prove that.

Yes, though we try to take them seriously. There is a lot of spam or useless info, but you can augment it with collected crash data where possible.
