How is the daily work of an AI Engineer like, and how to become one?
What tools does an AI engineer use daily, and what does their work involve? How does it differ from the work of a regular software engineer? How can a regular software engineer with a basic understanding of AI in general, and neural networks specifically, become an AI engineer? Is a specialized degree required to apply for AI engineer positions?
This feels like one of those questions where the answer is obvious. You tell us. It seems like people are just jumping on the bandwagon without even realizing it’s a bandwagon, let alone understanding what it looks like or how it operates.
It is just software. You use APIs, write prompts, review results, curse LLMs and try again with CAPS LOCK and !!!
Look at GenAI/LLM engineer reqs and job descriptions to get an idea what the skills and work looks like.
