What's your take on the "Post-Open Source" movement?

A quick summary of the term would be helpful.

(Edit: I misread the title as “the open-source movement” instead of the “post-open-source movement.” I’m not deleting my comments but I recognize it’s fairly off topic from that misreading.)

A movement that does an incredible job when writing reusable libraries, and generally an abysmal job at writing full-size software.

If I had to pay a nickel for every time someone’s MIT-licensed library saved my life… I’d be much poorer.

However, I will never be able to convince any Excel user that LibreOffice is a viable substitute, because it absolutely isn’t. Forget about the disability slur compared to Photoshop. Darktable is not a Lightroom substitute. Blender’s the only bright spot - ironically because they decided ruffling feathers and redesigning it completely was the right decision.
