HACKER Q&A
📣 ssahoo

Anyone planning on dumping AT&T due to the hack?

What alternative you are switching to?

I know there could be class action that will result in $1.04 each after providing your home address and other email address. :)

I can't even recall using ATT and I got a notice.

My credit union was randomwared. (Patelco). They are taking a very long time to recover, and as soon as I can actually make transactions, they are Sayonara.

And banks care about security. Carriers? Groan.

T-Mobile has been excellent to me for 4-5 years now. Came from VZW who had been fine, t-mobile is just a good deal cheaper and has better 5g coverage in my area.

Sadly my data was actually exposed during the hack and I haven't even had AT&T for the last 5 years. So it's pretty bad when I haven't used their service in years. I currently use Ting.

No, I can't see what difference it would make in the long run unless you're jumping from vendor to vendor until you run out of cellular carries to jump to.

For security, who are you going to switch to? TMobile?

Telcos are a weird industry, and you’re not gonna find much differentiation.

And risk getting their data exposed a second time by Verizon? ;)
