Is it worth doing a reputable virtual MBA at 46?
Friend of mine is struggling with the decision of whether to purse an virtual MBA. He is a mid level manager in tech and I think he could be 46-47 years of age. Anyone in the same boat, what are the advantages and disadvantages?
When does he plan to retire? After paying for his MBA what salary jump does he expect? How much will he pay for his degree? These answers will give a sense of worth it from a financial perspective. Admittedly, there could be many non financial motivations as well that made up "worth it".
Only if he intends to spend the next 20 years working for sclerotic organizations that promote on the basis of a piece of paper.
