Getting into a offensive cybersecurity role with limited experience?

As the title suggests, is it feasible to gain a role in offensive cybersecurity (such as pentesting, redteaming, etc) with limited background experience?

I've seen a few ads offering courses to train for cybersecurity but they all seem to be scams.

I'm aware, given said resources, i could upskill myself but I'm additionally curious in regards to whether any mentorships exist within this industry, apprenticeships do but they require qualifications.

I'm new here so i hope this is ok to ask.

Thankyou, Loki.

you should probably prefix your post title with "Ask HN:"

as for your question, I don't have enough knowledge to help you. You can try emailing cybersecurity firms and seeing if they offer some sort of apprenticeship.

Slightly off-topic. Why are you interested in working in this area? Do you have any software or hardware engineering experience? It's Ok to admit that money is an attraction.
