How do you know people will like your work?

I am a policy guy who was once an engineer. And thus whenever, I find data, I try to visualize it. Of course, I also want it to be acknowledged. But I have done at least two projects in recent years and realized that no one liked them. To that end, I will like your opinion, how do you think what you will do will garner interest?

This is different from building a library / api / start up. I am just trying to put up data to make an impact.

A project I thought was deeply interesting was how mean quant GRE scored changed over the years as compared to PISA scores. I thought this was interesting, but it was clearly not, across HN and other places I shared it: https://app.powerbi.com/view?r=eyJrIjoiNjhiYmZmODktM2VhZC00NDNkLWJmZGUtMzYyZWQ3YzdlMWIwIiwidCI6Ijg4OWYxNTI3LWQ4MzYtNGFhNy1iMzE4LTIzYWYwMTUxMGQxYiIsImMiOjl9&pageName=ReportSection

Work with/within a given group(s)/context(s), ideally align/match what trying to do with group context. aka defined group parameters can help narrow down the 'luck' involved in garnering interest.

Perhaps check out a few historical inventions/inventors:

I expect 0 interest - and am happy if there is any

If I am doing a project for me, I do not care if others get value out of it :)
