Why don't computer displays hide smudges by varying brightness?
In this way, you can use a finger to get rid of small particles on the screen and the computer display will automatically hide your finger smudges by varying brightness across the screen.
My monitor is already expensive enough.
Would it be enough for the monitor to know where the smudges are (and how would it know that?) or would it also need to know exactly where you were viewing from?
How hard would it be for the monitor to clean itself anyway?
