Facebook generic groups generated by FB?

People who have Facebook accounts with very few friends or group subscriptions see a lot of posts on their feed which have generic names like:

"Beauty of History and Archaeology", "Old History Life", "History Vista", "Mountain Cabins Style.", and seemingly infinitely more examples.

Are these generated by Facebook to give the appearance of more content than actually exists? Or are there some external groups generating these (for reasons which are unclear)?

Many of them are obviously AI generated images, especially the home related ones. But the patterns are similar across most of these groups. Even the comments appear to be following a pattern.

What is the goal here? I first thought it was some external party trying to get clicks, but then I reasoned that it made more sense for Facebook to be generating this fake content as a way to appear more relevant. Are there any insiders who wish to carefully clarify what is going on?

It's probably obvious to the HN crowd that Facebook would have many fewer users like me/us were it not that some businesses unfortunately only "exist" on Facebook...

Here is an example. The image is almost certainly AI generated. The post has a very significant amount of engagement... much of which is also likely fake/generated.
