Can we please get dark mode?

Shout out to my horrible Flutter HN project https://github.com/rsimmons1/FlutterHnReader

I created it for 3 reasons:

1) practice with Flutter

2) I wanted dark mode

3) I was getting really tired of chatGPT posts at the time so I added a topic filter.

I will openly admit it is not nearly as the HN website which IMO is a masterpiece.

If you enjoy hacking your own apps together feel free to fork it and creating your own experience.

Really not a plug just thought it was relevant and a bit personally humorous.

You can have dark mode in reader mode with Orion on iOS or macOS but you are supposed to sleep at night.

This dark mode mania is truly annoying. Why can't you people understand that many users cannot read in dark mode?

I dont think HN will ever change its styling...

However, try some extensions which gives you dark mode

1. Modern for Hacker News

2. Dark reader

Does Firefox send a header to request this?
