Examples of lovely user interfaces on and off screen

Hey HN - I'm on the lookout for lovely, surprising, intuitive, playful, fun "user interfaces". I'll take anything on a screen / touchscreen / mobile - but I'm also interested in "in the real world" examples - are there nice things that have cheered up your day because the design thinking has been thoughtful or nicely simplifying something that could otherwise have been complex?

I'd prefer to avoid examples of crap stuff - it's so common (sadly!) to find people writing about examples of terrible UI's - I'm specifically on the look out for good ones!

thanks xx ;-)

I didn't see it in person, but I like the idea. Mui Board https://muilab.com/en/products_and_services/muiboard/

This morning, the Yamaha RX5 Rhythm Programmer. Lots of dedicated buttons and a backlit screen. Body scaled not hand sized. Job -> Option architecture.

It was designed to build complex operations. The interface is designed for expertise developed over time (it's a musical instrument after all). It is not designed for casual beginners.

Audio stuff typically has really interesting interfaces and tries to simplify very complex tasks. So look at DAW / synthesizer software, hardware (ableton, teenage engineering) and software/hardware combinations.
