Solo devs – what do you use to manage your tasks?

Curious what solo devs (or folks that work in 1-3 person startups) use for task management? I'm assuming the typical tools (ie. jira) are overkill, so curious if you're using trello, linear, or something else?

Also curious what you like / dislike, and if there's a feature(s) you wish existed but didn't

Lastly, if you'd care to share, do you use it only for work or personal too?

Edit: typo

I started using Apple Reminders for a new project I’m working on. It has a new(ish) column view that allows it to work sort of like Trello, so I’m using it like that. Trello works better and has more features, but I’m trying to limit tool sprawl, so Reminders is good enough for now.

On a side peoject at the office, I mostly keep it out of Jira, and use Obsidan. I have a section for it in my daily todo list, that I use like a digital bullet journal. Then I have a file for various notes and reference information I want/need.

My other work stuff is in Jira. A team of 15, but really only about 2-4 of those I’m working with. Jira is mostly for show, no one is really looking at it and our user stories typically only have a title, if they exist at all. This is due to reasons beyond my control, as I’m no longer willing to do my scrum master’s job for him.

For all of my side projects, it's a `TODO.md` file that I typically break down into three sections: "Features, Bugs, Future". Each item is a bullet point, which I rearrange as it suits me.

I use org-mode + Dropbox to store all my notes & todos.
