Laptop price drops later in the year?


I'm strongly considering buying this, Acer Swift Edge 16" 4K OLED Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7-7735U, for about 600$. My main use cases are photo, video, and music production. Linux compatibility is a must as well, I vastly prefer Linux Mint or other Debian based distros. Gaming would be nice as well, but I'm not expecting AAA.

So my question is, should I hop on this deal or wait a few months. I plan on installing a 2TB drive ( this puts Macs firmly out of my budget).

That's probably the cheapest it will get. I don't expect any price drops until new laptop CPUs come in Dec/Jan.

IMO a 16" laptop should come with an H CPU not U though.
