I may be contracting as a full time employee without this third party service soon and I'm wondering what salary/rate I should be asking for.
I assume it's mainly a simple calculation of how much health insurance would cost me, how much CPP costs me etc.
Any tips?
1) proceed as a sole proprietorship which means the entire payment would be considered salary. This means you’ll need to ask for CPP, EI (both employee and employer portions) plus self employment complementary health benefits
2) incorporate and ask for a fixed rate and deal with taxes at 2 different levels which can enable better optimization
