What's the most interesting cyberattack to have ever happened?

I have to do a case study on a cyber-attack. In an effort to not get bored with the topic, I am looking for the most impressive and elaborate cyberattack to have ever occurred.

I need to be able to write about the origins, characteristics and targets of the attack, the evolution and impact of the attack, the response to the attack and the effectiveness of the response, and actions taken to prevent similar future attacks.

I’m happy for links to wiki’s as a starting point, but ideally I need to be able to source a decent amount of academic literature on the attack as well because this is for a university cybersecurity course.
