Users joined my waitlist within a day and few of them are ready to pay

Yesterday, I created my landing page with the idea and use cases of my new AI app.

Then, I shared it in the subreddits requesting for validating the idea. I got a few validations and more signups for the waitlist.

so my question is should I start building now or need to wait for some more time?

It sounds like there is no obvious error/issue based on the feedback thus far. If you feel the response has been warm enough, I think you next want to figure out how seriously people want it, and refine the idea — will they pay for it, or do they just think it sounds cool? Is there a variation on your idea that they would pay more for? Are they so excited that they tell friends?

In order to answer those questions I think you need an MVP, ideally with very very low development time. Can you do a smokescreen MVP? Can you make something simple and ugly in a couple days, and get feedback from a couple customers?

I don’t claim to be an authority in this, but that’s my thought

A bit off topic... Elsewhere on HN we see articles that the 6+ month wait lists for EVs have collapsed and dealers are stuck with slow moving EV stock.

So we can assume that consumers/subscribers are fickle. Even deposits do not guarantee future commitment.

The question is: are you prepared to invest 6 months of your time (F/T) and money in building and releasing a MVP? Even to watch it crash and burn? Real entrepreneurs DO!
