Generation's Couchsurfing?

When I was young and innocent I used to host a lot of people. Only surfed once or twice, but I had a spare room and couch in my large apartment and loved to meet strangers from all corners of the world. It was a source of joy, communication, and cultural enrichment next to nothing else.

With the utterly unneccessary and badly done corporate turn of Couchsurfing.org it ceased to exist. The pandemic gave it a death blow.

So now my question: Is there anything that comes close? I really miss this so much.
