Getting back into networking and attending events

Question

I have been trying to get back into attending in person networking events and conferences. I am finding it challenging to motivate myself to attend them. For reference, I am trying to attend a few in SF and just the thought of driving of taking Caltrain from San Jose puts me off.I know that I need to get back in the game to launch my startup but its like I am dragging my soul.Any tips?

I'm the same boat as I was skimming through meetups. I'm in the S.bay and aint interested in trekking to SF with no promise of anything meaningful.

Question for everyone else- how have tech related meetups recovered in your city?In Chicago I find they're still sparse, still nowhere near the level they used to be since the lockdowns threw everything off.

Find someone else to go with. It becomes much easier to commit and actually do it.
