What's an outdated technology you can't let go of, and why?
Despite all the advancements in technology, I still find myself attached to my old mechanical keyboard. It's outdated, but nothing matches its feel and response. Do you have any such 'outdated' technology that you can't let go of?
I still use a dedicated mp3 player for outdoor activities (running, MTB'ing) and lifting weights. Why? Well, my little mp3 player is both smaller and lighter than my phone and - more to the point - much cheaper to replace. If I drop a weight plate on my mp3 player, or crash my MTB and destroy the mp3 player in the process, I'm out a lot less - in terms of both money and general aggravation - as compared to destroying my phone in a similar manner.
I also still have a preference for 1/8" headphone jacks for connecting headphones to devices.
Are wired headphones considered outdated with the widespread adoption of AirPods and other wireless headphones? I love plug in headphones for the sound quality and not needing to charge them if I’m using them all day. I still have my AirPods though for most situations.
