Who else though macOS "*.dmg" files damage your Mac?
It's a terrible name for something that's supposed to install apps on your computer. The first time I downloaded it I thought macOS was telling me "this file is bad, don't open it"!
I understand "dmg" stands for (Apple) Disk Image, but there are better (less confusing) names:
- ADI
- IMG
I like ISO, on the Windows PC you can rename DMG files to ISO and might be able to look at them using a third party virtual CD/DVD tool. Depending on which tool you use.
"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down."
(´⊙ω⊙`)!
Is there a question here?
