Whats an easy way to only read x HN per day?

Hi,i'm reading to much hn (a problem because i also skim over hn top list page 1-3 too often).I also like to comment which is also consuming too much time.What longterm options do you know? Like some RSS Feed which is not dependend on someone no one knows who hosts it for fun, but something like a rss feed for the top x news per day.As far as i know, the hn rss feed provides around 700 news per week, which is a 100 per day, which should be over 3 pages (too much).Unfortunate nextdns.io doesn't support hn for parental control. In worst case i will block hn completly and host an nginx reverse proxy, but than i can't use hn remote :(

Have you tried setting the noprocrast, maxvisit, and/or minaway settings in your profile?

Start with the hn rss feed (I think the firehose is more than that; 100 every few hours or so), but after skimming the titles, and before marking everything as read (two keystrokes in my rss reader) you pick which 5 (or whatever x may be) articles you'd like to look at (and/or comment on) for the day?
