Do you also turn away from blog posts with advertising?
Even though the content might be good I simply cannot concentrate when reading a piece from someone where things blink, glitter or somehow disturb the reading experience ?
I have come to realize that i can only read content when it's served cold.
Yes. Fortunately the authors of the kind of blogs I read share a similar mindset on advertising and so it's not really a problem.
I also turn away from content where the author advertises within the text of the article itself. If they're trying to manipulate me into buying crap, no telling what else they're dishonest about.
I close blogs/websites/web apps when there's too much advertising, with "too much" often being "more than one".
The advertising is probably like spelling mistakes in 419 scams: those who don't notice make the best marks.
