Is there a global site rank API (like the old Alexa)?

I want to determine the global site rank of a website. Alexa apparently used to offer this, but Amazon killed it a few years ago. Is there a free or low cost option where I can send in a domain and get the global site rank? I saw similarweb, but the pricing is pretty crazy ($125/mo) for 1000 requests per month, if I read this correctly.

All I need is a general global site rank, so I'm open to hacky suggestions if there is a better way.

It's not web specific, but when Alexa changed the pricing on the list, our team pushed for Cisco Umbrella to publish the top 1M domains here https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/umbrella-static/index.htm... - I don't know any details about how this is currently maintained as I left Cisco/OpenDNS about 3 months after this started!
