What ultrawide do you use for coding and photo/video editing?

I'd like to upgrade from my 27 inch and I tried the Samsung Odyssey g8 OLED, but the font rendering was just not acceptable. I guess that will probably bias me towards VA or IPS. My current Samsung is a VA, but it's been a while since I've purchased a new monitor so I'm not sure which brand/type is the frontrunner these days for general purpose.

I'd really like decent color for photo and video editing and great font support. Ideally it has DVI and HDMI ports

There is currently no great option for a ultrawide with enough DPI for comfortable photo work (or even coding depending on what you're used to). Especially if you also want it to have a high refresh rate.

Even for non-wide, only a handful of <24" QHD options exist and they are not great in terms of features - typing this from an AOC Q24G2A. The panels for this simply are not being made. And on the higher end of the spectrum, even a 5K ultrawide like the LG 34WK95U only has ~160dpi vs the ~220dpi of a Mac Studio monitor, and it's still 60hz.

For daily work, I settled on the compromise of a vertically mounted 32" 4k monitor. It gives me the equivalent of three stacked 21" 2160x1280 screens at near 140dpi. Then I have the AOC on the side for occasional gaming.

I currently use 3x 48” LG OLED C2 instead of an ultrawide. Arranged something like this: \_/
