Why is Meta's ad targeting so much better than Google's and TikTok's
I don't see as many youtube ads anymore because I have youtube premium, but when I did I remember the ads all being for stuff like car insurance (I don't drive). Meanwhile, ads on instagram are hyperspecific to my interests I've gotten ads for people selling arduino-type kits, cool anime posters, computer monitors, some light-up piano thing.
Probably because they know more about you on a personal level than the other services do. A lot of people have Facebook and Instagram accounts using their real names, and real interests linked to their real life friends. They know what you're talking about with each other and they know what you're doing on the web through their tracking pixels.
