What do AI "engineers" do besides posting/reposting stuff on Twitter?
I follow some engineers who works at nvidia, Google, etc. and I don't know how they can get anything done while they're constantly on Twitter, posting things or talking about the most recent advances in AI.
The premise of your question seems biased, but: have you asked them?
FWIW, Twitter is acting as the de facto "public web forum" for much of the activity around AI.
TBH you need to follow papers and trends to some extent, but I can't imagine doing it on Twitter.
