What to learn in order to get a software job in a decent country?


A good friend of mine is 18 and Russian. He is a programming prodigy and is trying to formulate a plan to get out. He's thinking about his future CV and applying for jobs. What would be the best frameworks to invest time in getting experience with now?

Don’t learn frameworks, they come and go every few years. Learn core computer science topics. Trendy frameworks will get him a job in 6 months; a proper CS education will keep him in a job in 6 years or through the next downturn.

If possible, complete a bachelor’s degree in person or online.
