Where would you go (within USA) for a few months to re-base?

I’m pretty burned out as a swe and I’m finding it hard to focus on my own projects and interests after working all day.

I have lived in cities for so long and feel cramped/stuck if that makes sense.

I would like to take a few months and go live somewhere new where I might get a new perspective.

For some background I feel that I’ve gotten to a point where thankfully I’m not worried about getting another job again.

I’m good at what I do and I am looking for something actually challenging but my mind just needs a break to find the capacity to do that.

Any ideas? Where could I go and recalibrate without worrying about rent, whether someone smashed my car window, or other stuff like that.

In a very similar situation myself, so for starters best of luck and hang in there.

We're approaching winter and I live in WA so am biased towards going south.

Without getting too detail oriented: southern Utah/Vegas/Arizona-strip area are nice, temperate daytime temps (during winter) and a whole lot to do and explore and relatively cheap. Plenty of national/local/state parks to check out too.

The south east could be nice as well but am less familiar personally

At this time of year?

There's a lot of snowbird-targeted stuff available in Arizona, Florida, Alabama, Texas, etc. You rent a house or condo for a few months. There are plenty of little towns on the ocean where the beach, grocery store, and public library are all within walking distance. Take an Uber from the airport and spend the next 2-3 months without ever touching a car; without ever having any footwear besides flip flops.

Before I moved I binged watched all of this channels videos [1] and then researched a bit further once I found some areas I liked.
