I post once a month at most, last month to share a dissertation in the research group and 2 months ago to discuss fitness trackers in the parent group. I donated money to the foundation when they were asking for donations and I read new posts from time to time using an app on the ios store called "Friendly" (https://friendly.io/); it's the only way to browse facebook while making sure posts are sorted chronologically.
My question is two-fold: * Could using this app have gotten me the suspension? * Are there alternatives outside of facebook I could pitch to this group so we can move off of facebook? I'm thinking mailing list but worry that it might not be "simple" enough.
And the reason I'm suspecting the app might be the cause is that the suspension message vaguely mentioned something about "accessing or using automations to retrieve facebook information". I appealed the ban and can't see the exact wording anymore but that was the gist of it.
