Speaker recommendations for using in home office

I recently start working at home and would love to listen to some Lo-Fi music. Any good speaker recommendations? Thank you!

Where will the sound come from? I mean, from the motherboard (mb)?

Some MB have terrible sound as they pick up electrical noises from the power source (psu).

Having a good MB, or an external audio (getting the audio from your computer via USB) makes a bigger difference than the speakers.

Genelec 8010 A https://www.genelec.com/8010a Those are definitely the best small speakers I have ever seen.

Any decent 4-6" monitors can do a wonderful job. I have a PreSonus 4.5" version connected to an USB audio interface — this works great with both Linux computers and Mac laptops.

hello,

i'm a big fan of so called "near-field monitors", which have a decent sound if you tend to sit in front of them.

most of them are active and there are a broad spectrum of options available ...

idk. from cheap(er) behringer, alesis, mackie to name a few or the decade-old intermediately priced "standards" from yamaha (which i'm using) to other more pricier options ...

if you want to spend some money / invest in quality combine them with a decent USB-audio solution + symmetric cables ... :))

just my 0.02€

I have a pair of Edifier monitors (R1280DB), they're a low priced Chinese brand, and surprisingly good for the price.
