Any Experience with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse?


I have a new colleague is all excited about Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse [1].(Store data in parquet/delta files and use PySpark to transform data and serve them up using Fabric). I appreciate any thoughts or comments.

I am mostly concerned about PySpark and can't wrap my head around the pricing model. Similarly, if we use it to power Tableau or PowerBi, I can't figure out the pricing model. With Snowflake, which I am more familiar with, I can get a good price estimate. Thanks in advance.

I am wondering the same lately. Apparently spark is becoming "spark as a service" on top of parquet + index = lakehouse?
