I'll start. For me, it's 0%
EDIT: Changed into a poll here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38013816
However, I’ve just interviewed for a job with a decent six figure base salary, with a $20k car allowance, and up to an extra 50% of the base salary in bonuses and an uncapped commission + all expenses paid travel (the role involves extensive domestic travel and some international travel). I didn’t apply for this role, but was cold called by a recruiter and asked to consider it, so I agreed to do an interview. At this point, I’m actually kind of hopeful.
Why do people not share their salary information more openly when it is beneficial for them. Most people know that sharing would help them negotiate better and in some cases take away the extreme amount of leverage the employer has due to comp being secretive.
I will post this as a separate question to see what the hive mind thinks.
Unless you want to include pension which is 10% on top of my wages (Companies can pay tax free to employer pension savings here)
