Any big company approve JetBrains IDE Integration on GitHub?

I'm a big fan of JetBrains' products. one of a very useful feature of their IDE is GitHub PR integration, where you can review PR, commenting, fixing your code directly in the IDE, w/o the need to copy the path of the commented file and the exact line number back and forth (which is super annoying if it's a big pr with lots of comments). The only problem is that it requires an OAuth app to be approved by the organization, and I'm trying to convince the opensource ops team to approve that app because clearly they don't want any responsibility "in case something happens :-///". Are there any big tech companies already approved this app? I think this could greatly increase my odds of success.

You can check whether your org has approved this app at GitHub Settings -> Applications -> Authorized OAuth Apps -> JetBrains IDE Integration -> Organization access. You may need to approve this app in your own account first by connecting your own account in the Pull Request panel of any JetBrains IDE.

Yes! Use it daily, and was already approved. I’d say maybe ~20% of people here use some flavour of IntelliJ?

I will say, don’t hype yourself up. It’s actually not ideal. I still have to jump back to the PR pretty often for things like suggested change blocks in comments.

Company size: ~3000 people, multinational, many IT staff that audit these things closely and are alright with it.

If you work in a big org, there is probably a process for getting software/etc approved. Since JetBrains is hopefully already approved, you may have an easier time to get it through. At least that's how it worked for me in telco-world.
