Can we stop linking to Twitter?

After Musk, the new Twitter is a terrible experience. It's really slow, and you can't read follow ups and comments anymore. It's not really a website anymore, just an out of context short message that sometimes loads but usually is broken in some way. Can we please stop linking to it? Summarize the text as a text post if you must, or better yet, just let it die?

Agreed. I don't actually have a login to Twitter, so I can't even read these posts since 90% of the time it requires a login.

It (usually) works OK with Nitter, though.

(I do not have an account on Twitter either and I do not intend to.)

Twitter has never been hugely popular, daily user count topped out at a self-reported ~350 million in 2015 (seven years ago) and has gradually declined, with an unknown number of bot accounts.

What will happen over time is that twitter posts just won't get upvoted as much and the whole thing will die a natural death.

Can we just be grown-ups and allow people the freedom to decide which links they want to follow or not?
