I'm making a list of the most popular online payment methods in EU countries among locals (ages 25-45). I'm specifically interested in the 'truly' day-to-day, most convenient, or liked methods.
For example, in Poland, the most commonly used method among my peers would be BLIK. In The Netherlands, it's iDEAL. In Denmark, it's probably Dankort.
I'd love to find out more about all/other EU countries.
Please feel free to share your personal preferences too! The more methods/names, the better for my research. :-)
I appreciate every answer/comment. Thank you.
Then random credit card vendors, Apple-pay and Paypal is widespread but not major.
50% of the major grocery chains take it as no fees are present under 10€ and fixed 20c over 10€ (free between friends)
Really widespread with small shops and even open markets (you need just a phone, usually shops have stickers facing the client and can be connected to standard POS terminals)
But the most widespread is PayPal as probably everyone has an account and a site thst accepts PayPal is seen as trustful
